"En mi Cocina" 2025 Fine Art Print

I started pouring a cup of coffee to my ancestors in October 2019 on some mornings when I noticed there was extra in the pot. I would add canela and lots of sugar even though that's not how I prepared my own coffee, I would set it in front of my great grandma and my dad and asked for a good day. I pretty much had the best day ever and pouring a little extra coffee became a ritual for me and my ancestors. 

Sometimes in meditations I would smell the coffee like if i was brewing it fresh before I receive guidance from my ancestors and I recognized this connection between them and me. I love coffee, I love spending time in my kitchen, and this painting is how i tell my ancestors it's always open, they're always welcome here.
